Tales of Victorian Madness: An Evening of Gothic Short Stories

Where: Dalnavert Museum

When: 2026-07-04 || Show 7pm-9pm

Are you ready to explore the dark boundaries of the human psyche through two classic tales of isolation, obsession, and the descent into madness?

Join us for a haunting double-feature reading of Charlotte Perkins Stetson’s "The Yellow Wallpaper" and Edgar Allan Poe’s "The Black Cat" in our Victorian parlour. During the intermission between the readings, enjoy our selection of themed cocktails in our Visitors' Centre.

Come prepared to explore a horrible weight of secrets and try to not let your mind unravel. A specialty cocktail or non-alcoholic mocktail is included with purchase of a ticket. This event will be taking place on July 4th from 7:00 - 9:00 PM. Tickets can be booked by going to our events or calendar page.
